THE PURPOSE
As Porsche enthusiasts we
all know that these cars were mostly built in the 1980's. Fourty years ago the CNC machining was at its infancy and not widely used in the area of bearing production. Assembly methods were not practiced as they are today. At Hoffmann Torque Tubes we take advantage of the modern day advanced sciences and apply them to these highly coveted cars.
Bearings of today use more modern synthetic lubricants as well as advanced tolerance control. A rebuilt torque tube will allow us all to continue driving and enjoying them on our streets and tracks throughout this world.

Number 1 bearing so bad that it chopped the pilot area of shaft.
Number 1 bearing warn out. It degraded the splines in the clutch area of shaft.
